This beautiful waterfall is located near Shaki village. It directly connects the tributaries of the Vorotan River. According to the myth, the waterfall is named after Shaki, one of the 93 virgins who miraculously survived the flood.
Enemies send 93 virgin girls from Gegharkun province to their leader stationed in Mughan. When the caravan of captive girls arrives here, turning to their captors, they say: "We have become very dusty and dirty on the long journey, let us bathe in the river, and then introduce ourselves to your elder." The kidnappers agree. Undressing, the girls throw themselves into the waves of Thunder and disappear by diving.
Only a blue-eyed girl named Shake tries to escape by running away through the rushing river. Enemies come after him, but at the same moment, a rock miraculously falls into the river, and the water, enthroning over him, hides Shakei under its white foam. After that, that waterfall and the village near it are named after Shakei.
